LaMarr Barnes Scholarship Award

This scholarship was established in honor and memory of LaMarr Barnes. The LaMarr Barnes Scholarship Award for Vocational Studies provides one Peekskill High School student financial support as they pursue their career in the construction trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC). The scholarship is given to one high school senior from Peekskill High School (“PHS”) who has attended the BOCES Tech program and plans to continue their education in a trade field or being their career in one of the trade industries (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding or HVAC).



Criteria for Eligibility:

To be eligible to receive The LaMarr Barnes Scholarship Award, the candidate must be:

● A graduating high school senior from PHS who has been enrolled and attended the BOCES Tech program

or a construction trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding and HVAC.

● Earned a passing score of 65 or higher in the BOCES Tech program

● Must be an individual entering the construction trades industry or construction trade program upon

completion of high school

● A completed application must be submitted by April 29th and emailed to ferriscarpentryllc@gmail.com

Only completed application packets will be accepted.

Awardee will be notified early June and will be invited to a recognition ceremony luncheon in June.
